"I am a 59 year old fairly active woman. I walk several times a week and play golf once a week. In early 2010 I was having extreme chronic pain in my right hip bursa. X-rays revealed bursitis, so my orthopedic surgeon advised that I could go for physical therapy or, have a cortisone shot in the affected bursa. I chose the shot with good results. Six months later I was back in his office with the same pain, asked for another shot, which he gave me, but had no relief from the pain.
